The Annual Scholarship Dinner is a highlight of The Washington Center's
calendar. The 2018 celebration, Impact, took place on October 15 at the
National Building Museum.
The evening focused on the impact our collective work has on our students,
as well as the impact our students have on us, our partners and the world.
Thank you to our generous partners.
Net proceeds from this evening support the TWC Scholarship Fund, which
helps alleviate financial barriers for students hoping to participate in TWC's
transformative internship experience.
The sponsors for Impact were Centene Corporation, Ford Motor
Company, CBS, Verizon, Spirit Aerosystems and the University of
Toledo. With their support, the evening was an astounding success.
As part of the festivities, TWC recognized the following special guests with
Impact awards:
• Lifetime Achievement Award: The Honorable Richard Gephardt
• Higher Education Impact Award: University of Massachusetts System
• Partner Impact Award: "To the Contrary", PBS
• Alumni Impact Award: Kevin Jones '11
