Eligibility The information below outlines TWC's general requirements. Students seeking academic credit for the TWC experience are encouraged to contact their campus liaison, as schools may have additional credit requirements. To be eligible, students must: • Be at least 18 years of age. • Attend an accredited college or university with at least two semesters completed before participating. • Maintain a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). • Have the approval of their campus liaison or faculty sponsor, if they are seeking academic credit. • Be proficient in the English language. Application Components & Next Steps You can start the application by going to The application will ask you to submit the following materials: • One-page resume (US-style) • 500-word Issues Essay • Official Transcript from university of most recent degree • Copy of a valid passport with an expiry date no less than 6 months after the end of the TWC program • Two letters of recommendation (academic or professional) Housing TWC has convenient housing facilities in Northeast Washington, D.C. All TWC housing units are fully furnished and equipped with private bathrooms, laundry facilities, high-speed internet, cable, phone, and 24-hour front desk coverage. Residences are close to Metro and other public transit systems.
