Preparing for Your TWC Experience Once it's time to begin your internship placement process, you'll receive an email from your pre-arrival advisor with resources and information about next steps. Congrats on your acceptance to TWC! So, what's next? Your internship placement process will begin 2 to 3 months before the program starts. Welcome Email 1 2 3 4 5 6 Pre-Advising Activities You'll gain access to Canvas where you can learn more about the program and internship placement. You'll also work through activities that will help you think about your career goals, along with what types of internships will help further those goals. You'll have an advising session with your pre-arrival advisor where you will talk about your career goals and how they should be incorporated in the internship placement process. You'll also discuss your resume and other application documents. Advising Sessions Internship Applications You'll connect with our network of employers in a variety of industries. Over the course of one week, you'll apply to a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 15 internship opportunities. Employers will reach out to you directly if they would like to schedule an interview. Interviews usually take place via phone or video call. Interviews Oers Depending on how your interviews go, one or more employers may extend an internship offer. It's up to you to decide whether to take the offer, but be sure to talk to your pre-arrival advisor before making a final decision! • Canvas: Find resources to help you throughout your TWC experience. • Hiration: Get direct feedback to help you strengthen your application materials and interview skills before you apply to internship sites. • GradLeaders: View and apply to open internship opportunities in TWC's network.
