Application Checklist You'll need to submit these documents as part of your application to the Academic Internship Program. Get started at www.twc.edu/apply. www.twc.edu One-page Resume Don't be shy – outline your educational background and include experiences like volunteer opportunities, leadership roles on campus, honors and awards. Click here to see resume samples. Statement of Professional Interest A summary (around 100 words) of what you're seeking in an internship, the skills you're hoping to develop and interests you'd like to explore. Click here to see statement of professional interest samples. Official Transcript Upload your official transcript directly into your application or request that it be sent to info@twc.edu. Issues Essay or Writing Sample If you're applying for spring 2022, write an essay (around 500 words) on a key issue that is relevant to the field you are hoping to intern in. If you're applying for summer or fall 2022, write an essay (around 500 words) on a key issue that is relevant to the field you are hoping to intern in or submit a professional writing sample (around 500 words) from a previous course or experience. Letter of Recommendation If you're applying for spring 2022, a letter of recommendation from a faculty member or professional supervisor is required and will be submitted to TWC by the recommender. If you have a GPA below 2.75, you'll need to request two letters of recommendation. If you're applying for summer or fall 2022, a letter of recommendation is not required for students with a GPA at or above 2.75. If you have a GPA below 2.75, you'll need to request one letter of recommendation.
