D.C. Bar Foundation
1. Communications and Social Media Intern: help implement the new
communications strategy, participate in meetings to plan content and write articles
for the monthly newsletter and periodic press releases.
2. Fundraising Intern: help with event planning and learn best practices in how to
fundraise for a mission-driven organization.
3. Grants Intern: get unique exposure to D.C.'s civil legal aid community, including
the chance to network with grantee leadership, write testimony for the D.C. Council
and participate in the grantmaking process.
National Legal Aid and Defenders Association (NLADA)
1. Communications Intern: assist the Communications Department with various
tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to, posting and monitoring social
media activities, drafting short articles and other content as needed and assisting
with website edits and updates.
2. Membership Intern: support the Membership department by helping to ensure the
relevancy, integrity and upkeep of the Membership database and the Membership
areas of the website.
3. Law Clerk: work with the Access to Justice Committee of the American College of
Trial Lawyers and its Fellows to develop, increase, and facilitate the involvement of
Fellows in providing pro bono legal services on significant matters and projects.
4. Defender Legal Services Intern: assist the Defender Legal Services team with
various tasks such as drafting briefings, assisting in preparation for trainings and
conferences and providing administrative support.
