Internship
Experience in the real world is vital to a career in criminal justice, and we've got connections
in the nation's capital and across the country to put you where you can make an impact. From
local police departments to federal law enforcement, you could be doing ride-alongs, writing
crime reports and working to make communities safer.
Some of our popular internship sites for criminal justice students are the D.C. Metropolitan
Police Department, Same Day Process, the National Sheriff's Association, D.C. Justice Lab and
the National Legal Aid and Defender's Association.
Career Readiness Programming
TWC's Career Readiness Programming is a mix of professional development workshops,
networking events, one-on-one advising and more designed to help you maximize your
internship experience. In the past, our students have gone to networking events to meet the big
players in the world of criminal justice, taken tours behind the scenes at the FBI and attended
panels and lectures designed to help them learn more about careers in law enforcement.
Academic Course
During your summer or semester with TWC, you'll take an academic course one night each
week. Our courses are typically taught by professors who are also working professionals in
their field. In the past, we've offered courses like The First Amendment, The Death Penalty and
Forensic Psychology.
