3 The Washington Center • Housing Reservation Contract • Office of Housing and Community Life staff will evaluate and inventory each unit after all participants vacate the unit. A final charge amount will be determined after check-out apartment inspections are received from building management. • Damage fees will be charged to the housing security deposit. Any damage amount over $75 will be billed directly to the resident. Final damage amounts are determined after the charges are received from building management. Residents may face eviction if outstanding balances are not satisfied in a timely fashion. Final grades will be withheld at the end of any program if there is an unpaid balance on an account. • If a security deposit is owed to a participant, it will be returned to the participant within 45 days of the check-out date. Check-in and Check-out Procedure • Check in dates and times will be provided to participants in advance. Early check-in is not permitted. • All participants must attend the welcome/orientation and/or complete the online housing orientation module, as directed by Housing and Community Life. Participants are expected to follow the designated standards outlined for community living specified by Housing and Community Life staff. • Please note ALL residents must vacate TWC housing by 12:00pm (noon) on the designated check- out date. Failure to do so will result in an improper check-out fee of $125 per hour past the stated check-out time. • If a program has a check-out time other than 12:00pm (noon), the specific time will be communicated by Housing and Community Life in advance. • The Washington Center and/or Housing and Community Life are not responsible for items left behind in resident apartments/spaces after check-out. It is each individual's responsibility to ensure that all personal items are removed from the premises before check-out from the apartment. Late Arrival • Residents who are not able to arrive between 10:00am and 5:00pm on the designated check-in day are required to inform TWC Housing and Community Life and other appropriate staff members of late arrival. This information will help TWC prepare for your arrival. Late arriving residents are not allowed to check-in between 12:00am and 9:00am. Conduct and Guests • All guests must be 18 years of age or older. • Guests are not permitted during the first two weeks after a resident takes occupancy of the apartment. External guests (non-TWC participants) are not permitted for participants of programs three weeks in length or less. • Guests are not permitted to stay in the apartment or building without the presence of their host. All residents are responsible for the behavior and actions of their guest(s), in the apartment or in any TWC (or TWC-affiliated) property, whether or not they are present when the behavior occurs. • All guests must be registered with TWC in advance. Vehicles of guests may not park in TWC parking lots.
