4 The Washington Center • Housing Reservation Contract • Apartment occupancy is limited to no more than eight (8) people in an apartment at one time, to maintain a noise level that is acceptable and conducive to a professional living environment. • All guests (friends, fellow participants, etc.) in apartments must be at the mutual agreement of all roommates/apartment mates. Overnight guests may be permitted only with the prior permission and consent of all roommates/apartment mates. Guests cannot stay longer than two (2) consecutive nights in a seven (7) night period per visit in an apartment. At any point, if any roommate does not want the guest(s) to stay in the apartment, the guest(s) must find other accommodation and cannot stay in the apartment. • The Washington Center reserves the right to ask any guests in an apartment to vacate an apartment or any TWC (or TWC-affiliated) property at any time. Consolidation Policy • The Washington Center reserves the right to change resident housing accommodations at any time. To consolidate vacant spaces, residents may be required to relocate to another apartment or housing facility. If feasible, TWC will provide notice to current residents prior to the arrival of a new roommate or apartment mate. • TWC reserves the right to lease any extra bed spaces in its housing facilities to clients unaffiliated with TWC-specific programs. Insurance for Personal Belongings • The Washington Center is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to your personal property; insuring your valuables is recommended. You may want to check with your parent or guardian to verify if a homeowner's insurance policy covers your belongings while in residence with The Washington Center. If not, you are advised to consider insuring your personal belongings with a renter's insurance policy. Parking • We do not recommend that residents bring a vehicle during their stay. The residential facilities are conveniently located near public transportation, which allows for quick and easy movement throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. • Prior to arrival, residents may submit a parking request within the housing application and Community Profile to seek approval to park a car at the Residential and Academic Facility (RAF) at NoMA. Parking spaces are limited, and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and is not guaranteed. • There is an additional fee for parking a car at the RAF. If your parking request is approved, you must pay the parking fee prior to the stated deadline, usually two weeks before check-in. Spaces will not be held if payment deadlines are missed. Parking rates are determined by the management at each building. • All parking fees are non-refundable. If a resident with parking access is removed from TWC housing due to a conduct violation or other behavioral issue, including removal from internship or housing, parking access will also be removed. • Residents who use the parking area must observe all building parking policies. • Vehicles that are not registered, are not parked in their designated space, or are not parked correctly (e.g. parked in a reserved spot, blocking another space) are subject to towing at the vehicle owner's
