Cybersecurity Accelerator Program Pilot: March 2023 TWC's innovative pilot program focused on building a pipeline of diverse talent into a field with high growth, lucrative career opportunities in states across the country and a serious diversity gap. • 4-Week Paid Project-Based Virtual Micro Internship and in-person workshops in D.C. • Skills workshops put theory into practice, helping build confidence and a sense of belonging in an industry that is closed to many historically marginalized groups. Funding Opportunities for Short-Term Programs TWC is proud of our state partners and welcomes ongoing support and flexibility in funding short-term programs. • Number of students enrolled in a TWC short-term program in 2023-Q12024: 900. • Average cost of a short-term program: $2,400. • States which allow use of funds for short-term programs: MD, PA, AR, NC, TN, AZ, OH & U.S. Virgin Islands. • TWC partner states yet to allow use of funds for short-term programs: MA, DE, MS & FL. 2023 Short-Term Program Success Workforce Readiness Program: November 2023 Designed to address the "Skills- Gap" – the disconnect between the teaching of "real world" skills in school with the needs of employers – to ensure talent can succeed and industry and grow. • A four-day, in-person program in D.C. to immerse in training, networking and career pathways. • Focus on universal skills such as critical thinking, communications, working in a hybrid environment, managing up and more.
