Mike received a BS and commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 1991 where he was the captain of the ice hockey team his senior year. An Air Force sponsored Ph.D., he attended George Mason University where he researched the Goldwater Nichols Act joint duty requirement's impact on general officer promotion. Mike is an adjunct professor at the National Intelligence University and lives in the Washington, DC area with his family. Nicole Tisdale Founder & Principal, Advocacy Blueprints, LLC Nicole Tisdale boasts an expansive fifteen-year tenure as a national security expert and Director at The White House - National Security Council (2021-2022) and the U.S. Congress' House Committee on Homeland Security (2009-2019). Her policy expertise encompasses crucial areas such as cybersecurity, counterintelligence, foreign malign influence campaigns, and election security. In 2019, Nicole founded Advocacy Blueprints, a firm focused on national security and cyber policy consulting, and advocacy training. As the lead for the White House's digital security advocacy efforts before Congress, she led the creation of the $1 billion dollar cybersecurity grant program and passage of the cyber incident reporting law, the most significant cybersecurity laws created in a decade. In Congress, Nicole created and managed more than 96 congressional hearings and passage of 354 bills through the House of Representatives, 80 became law. Nicole has represented the U.S. in 35 international delegations across 22 countries over her career, and speaking at more than forty conferences and workshops in two years, she has also been an influential voice in global policy dialogues. She also leads cyber policy nonprofit initiatives —Cyber IMPACT, advocating for protections for marginalized communities facing digital threats, and the Cyber Policy Leadership Institute, launching underrepresented groups into cyber policy careers. Her creation and commitment to the Cyber-Civil Rights policy framework is evidenced by her writing The Hidden Injustice of Cyberattacks for WIRED Magazine and her commitment to civic engagement for advocates highlighted in her book "Right to Petition." A proud double alumna and attorney from The University of Mississippi, Nicole hails from Nettleton, MS, and is a barred attorney in Mississippi. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a frustrated golfer and sneakerhead.
