Kamryn Perry Kamryn Perry is a Research Analyst for BPC's Health Program. Prior to joining BPC, she worked with a local nonprofit to create a summer program for disadvantaged youth in the area. She also spent significant time as a physical therapy aide, providing hands-on care to patients and learning the basics of a medical practice. As an undergraduate student, Perry served on the Student Health Advisory Committee at her university, advocating for patient interests and recommending policy and practice changes to the University Health Center. She was also the president of a campus-wide community service organization. Perry graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2021 where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science, focusing on policy and research that affects maternal, child, and family health with a minor in Kinesiology. Marquisha Johns Marquisha Johns is the associate director for Public Health Policy at American Progress, where she works to develop and advance bold solutions to tackle health disparities through a social determinants of health framework. Before starting at American Progress, Johns studied at Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, Johns completed internships with the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight; the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions; National Health Law Program; and Groom Law Group in Washington, D.C. She has done work and research surrounding health disparities, social determinants of health, health care access, health care financing, health insurance reform, and federal rule-making and interpretation. Before law school, Johns worked on a Medicaid demonstration waiver based in St. Louis that provided health coverage to low-income residents not eligible for Medicaid. In this role, she worked closely with patients and safety net health care providers to improve access to health services and regional health outcomes. She also holds a master's degree in public health from Saint Louis University and undergraduate degrees in sociology and chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana. Brandy Holoman Brandy serves as the Executive Director of Workforce Readiness and Programs at The Washington Center for Academic Internship Programs (TWC) – an independent, non-profit organization committed to providing transformative educational experiences by creating flexible, immersive pathways to enhance and diversify industry talent pipelines to build more equitable and inclusive workplaces and communities. Her work at TWC focuses on the growth, development, sustainability, and execution of TWC's experiential learning programs. She leads a dedicated team that offers a variety of career connected learning opportunities to diverse sets of learners. Prior to working at TWC, Brandy served as a Student Success Consultant at Educational Advisory Board (EAB). In this capacity, she worked with college and university partners to align institutional and student success goals. Her work focused on serving as a thought partner in leadership development, change management, and student success strategies and using data analysis areas of actionable insights. Brandy earned her MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Houston -Victoria and a bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University.
