To outfit their students with the tools, skills and competencies necessary to excel in our rapidly changing world, more than 500 colleges and universities, both public and private, partner with The Washington Center. Many partners view TWC as an extension or satellite campus of their institution. Students remain enrolled and receive credit from their home college or university while living and learning in Washington, D.C. Creating unique learning experiences beyond the classroom e Washington Center met all of Lone Star Honors College's needs when we were looking for a U.S. option for our capstone experience. e resources, connections and access TWC put at our disposal made it a reality for us. TWC's wraparound adaptability ensured the programming was customized to fit into our curricular plans, allowing us to grow and change as we learned what works. e program has become a huge highlight for our students and we are looking into expanding some internship opportunities through TWC.
