An exciting facet of TWC's Annual Scholarship Dinner 2019 was the presentation of 25 round-trip e-passesby Southwest Airlines. Winners were selected by random drawing by Karen Price Ward '92, a TWC alumna and representative of sponsor Southwest Airlines. Donors The following 15 generous donors contributed towards 2019 scholarships: New Scholarship Funds In 2019, TWC established two privately funded scholarship funds, the Margery Magill Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Joseph and Mary Ellen Yenerall Politics and Public Service TWC Scholarship. The Margery Magill Memorial Scholarship Fund The Margery Magill Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of TWC's dear colleague, Margery Magill and in consultation with her family. Through this scholarship fund, TWC honors Margery's dedication to international relations, food security and women's empowerment. Funds raised will support select students who are majoring in international relations and/or agricultural economics, and/or women's studies, or who are interning in these areas through their participation in The Washington Center's program. Since its creation in 2019, TWC has awarded 11 students with this award. https://resources.twc.edu/articles/the-washington-center-establishes- scholarship-fund-in-memory-of-beloved-colleague The Joseph and Mary Ellen Yenerall Politics and Public Service TWC Scholarship The Joseph and Mary Ellen Yenerall Politics and Public Service TWC Scholarship will be awarded to select Clarion University students attending TWC's Campaign Seminar Series. Spearheaded by Dr. Kevan M. As TWC celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2020, we look forward to providing deserving students with greater access to transformational internships and seminars. On February 28, 2020, TWC established the 45th Anniversary Fund which seeks to support increased scholarship funding for first-generation, underrepresented and high need college students participating in TWC programming. President's Council Scholarship, Access and Opportunity Fund – Fall 2019 Javonta Graham, a first generation college student from Florida State University, had the extraordinary opportunity to attend Bridging to the Future, TWC's Annual Scholarship Dinner 2019 and along with two other interns, presented the Alumni Impact Award. Javonta, who majored in Political Science, completed his internship at the Office of Congresswoman Karen Bass (D-CA).
