AT&T Foundation Scott Rechler Hofstra University Scholarship – Spring 2019 On August 8, 2019, the AT&T Foundation Scholars met with their donor representative Roman A. Having the opportunity to intern in the U.S. House of Representatives during a significant period in United States history is an experience I am incredibly grateful for and is one that I will not soon forget. The friends I have made and the skills I have developed as a result of this academic internship opportunity are a credit to BCBS and its vast support network. Through my internship, I had the opportunity to attend an oral argument at the Supreme Court. Only in D.C. can you witness both the ins and outs of where some of the biggest court decisions in the country are made. Sitting outside SCOTUS in line with almost 100 other people before the sunrise was truly something I cannot experience anywhere else. I will never forget that day or the memories I have made while at The Washington Center. This experience allowed me to participate in an internship that furthered my career interests and opportunities. Thanks to my internship, I was able to meet well-established people within my field of interest. I also had the opportunity to interact with other students in similar situations as myself.
