How to Request Accommodations • Talk to your admissions counselor or contact us at info@twc.edu if you have questions before applying. • Provide documentation and list what accommodations you'll need in your Community Profile once accepted. • Stop by the Housing and Community Life office as needed while you're at TWC, we're here to help! In the Workplace We provide students with the education and support to advocate for themselves at their internship site. Our staff will be on hand to help students navigate the process of acquiring accommodations. While accommodations vary depending on the internship site, past workplace accommodations have included the following: • Assistive technologies–both software and hardware (JAWS, TextHelp) • Sign language interpreting • Note-takers • Readers • Alternative format materials (i.e. Braille, large print, etc.) Student Testimonials On the first day of my internship, not only did my supervisor and I ensure that my disability accommodations worked, but we also went over emergency procedures. It's important to remember you're not burdening anyone, as all the accommodations you request are legitimate and necessary for your success in the workplace.
