Accommodations We want every student to be able to maximize their experience with TWC, so we offer reasonable accommodations to students with documented needs. These accommodations ensure you can complete classroom and workplace responsibilities and live comfortably in our housing facilities. In TWC Housing Our Residential and Academic Facility is fully ADA accessible and wheelchair accessible apartments are available to students that need them. We also allow documented service animals and emotional support animals in our facility. Some of the accommodations that are available in our building and apartments are: Accessibility at e Washington Center The Washington Center is committed to ensuring that as many students as possible have access to our Academic Internship Program. Because of this, we offer a variety of support services and accommodations to ensure that every part of our program is accessible. For more information, visit our website: twc.edu/explore. In the Classroom Some of the accommodations we've been able to fulfill in the classroom: • Roll-in showers • Hand-held shower heads • Flashing smoke detectors • Lowered appliances • Electronic door openers • Private bedrooms • Braille-labeled apartments • Automatic door opener • Note-takers • Sign language interpreting • Readers • Alternate format materials (i.e. Braille, large print, etc.) • Audio Recordings • Screen Recording Software • Speech Recognition Software • Alternative locations for testing
