Interview with TWC Alumna Leah Katz-Hernandez

Leah Katz-Hernandez, TWC 2008 National Conventions Alumna, became Receptionist of the U.S. for President Obama and the first-ever hearing impaired person in that position. Leah was appointed to the West Wing after serving in First Lady Michelle Obama’s communications office and for the Obama campaign during the 2012 election cycle.

She gained international attention when she launched an award-winning blog during the 2008 National Convention seminar. In this video interview, Leah talks about how she started the blog at the convention to keep family and friends updated, posting both in sign language and English, and it snowballed into a major information dissemination blog for the hearing impaired in America during the elections.

She is currently serving as Manager, CEO Communications for the CEO of Microsoft.
