WASHINGTON, D.C. --The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (TWC) is proud to highlight and honor the dozens of sponsors and partners of the Veterans Employment Trajectory (VET) Initiative. The VET Initiative is a 10-week intensive internship and professional advancement program in Washington, D.C. that is designed to cultivate veterans’ career and workforce preparedness.

Veterans face several challenges and obstacles when they attempt to transition from the military to college, and into their professional lives. In partnership with the Prudential Foundation, TWC designed this one of a kind program that gives student veterans hands-on work in their prospective fields through internships, as well as professional development training and networking skills that they will use for years to come.

“We are incredibly thankful to the Prudential Foundation and all of the organizations and individuals who have partnered with us to create this ‘next generation’ veteran transition program,” said TWC’s President, Chris Norton. “Thanks to the power of these partnerships, all participants of the inaugural cohort either accepted positions, were engaged in formal hiring discussions with employers, or had committed to pursuing advanced degrees at the end of the program. That does not happen without the village behind the VET Initiative.”
